Location: Online
This seven-hour virtual training course (spread over two days) is designed to provide individuals responsible for, or part of, their organization’s travel risk management team with the competencies necessary to develop and/or enhance their travel risk management (TRM) arrangements as set out in ISO 31030:2021 - Travel risk management — Guidance for organizations.
The course will provide attendees with a comprehensive overview of the Guidance, its philosophy, structure and contents. It will provide practical advice and tools to enable them to understand and identify the risks presented to the organization and its workers through travel – security, safety, health, and business continuity
To achieve this, the course will focus on the core areas most impacting organizational travel risk:
• Risk identification and analysis
• The prevention, reduction or mitigation of risk – both prior to and during travel
• Monitoring dynamic risks during travel
• Reviewing the impact and effectiveness of travel risk management policies and programs
The goal of the course is for participants to develop a clear understanding of the most critical elements of ISO 31030:2021 and how to integrate these into their organization’s unique risk profile, culture, policies and programs. This may be through the creation of a new bespoke travel risk management program or the enhancement of an existing policy or program.
Learning objectives
Our experts will disseminate how to proactively integrate these elements into your organizations’ policies, through case studies, exercises and simulations.
On successful completion of the course, participants will have a clear understanding of ISO 31030 and its benefits to your organization, and the required knowledge, skills and information to:
- Identify the necessary steps to develop appropriate policies and programs to effectively manage your organization’s unique travel risk profile
- Identify the core competencies required to implement and deliver these policies and programs
- Identify and prioritise the travel risks impacting your organization and its workforce
- Develop arrangements to effectively manage those risks
- Monitor and review the effectiveness of these arrangements
